One Off Events

The Hope 08 steering group has been meeting regularly and is very encouraged by the commitment and enthusiasm of those attending. The group consists of several core members with others joining as and when needed or able. The group exists to foster and facilitate individual and group vision for the community, rather than organise a number of events. It can also offer advice and expertise when needed. Everyone in the group has a commitment to prayer as central but you have a vital contribution in praying alongside us. Can we ask you to join us in praying for the following events that are in the planning stage?

OUR CHURCH LEADERS. These great people really need our support and our prayers! At the moment some of them are exploring how to meet together in a more effective way for fellowship and mutual support. We are aware that the enemy will oppose any attempts at unity because God has promised to bless it.

FLAVOURS OF HEREFORDSHIRE (food festival). The dates are October 25/6^th. We do know that we will have a large marquee to use in the daytime for free refreshments, children’s activities, youth bands, drama etc. We would like to be able to put on some sort of concert in the evening.

HOPE EXPLORED. For information please refer back to the May Update. The dates for the suppers at the Town Hall are Monday/Tuesday, 27/28^th October. Some churches have expressed an interest. We will need lots of help in practical ways. The particular need at the moment is to draw together a core planning group.

CHRISTMAS. Plans are in hand to hold a large interchurch event in Hightown on December 17^th as part of the late-night shopping activities.




		Please pray that: > we will do all we can to “keep the unity” > God will protect what He is doing amongst us > our leaders across the city and county will be encouraged and inspired > the challenge of Hope 08 will be taken up so that our communities will see Jesus
